ZigBee has become the name of a new generation of wireless communication technology. ZigBee is a short-range, low-power wireless communication protocol. The biggest advantage is that it can automatically form a device network and connect the direct data transmission of each device.
The upper limit of ZigBee access is also high. Theoretically, the number of ZigBee network nodes can reach 65000! Each ZigBee network data transmission module is similar to the base station of the mobile network, and they can communicate with each other in the whole network. The distance between each network node can range from standard 75 meters to hundreds of meters. Even a few kilometers; In addition, the entire ZigBee network can also be connected to various other existing networks.
Each ZigBee network node (FFD and RFD) can support up to 31 sensors and controlled devices, and each sensor and controlled device can eventually have 8 different interface methods. It can collect and transmit digital and analog quantities.
Advantages of ZigBee
Low power consumption: in the working mode, the transmission rate of ZigBee technology is low and the amount of data transmitted is small, so the signal reception and transmission time is very short. Secondly, in non working mode, ZigBee node is in sleep mode. Due to the short working time, low power consumption of sending and receiving information and sleep mode, ZigBee node is very power-saving. The battery working time of ZigBee node can be up to 6 months to 2 years.
Reliable data transmission: ZigBee's media access control layer (MAC layer) uses the "when ready to call" conflict avoidance mechanism. Under this completely determined data transmission mechanism, when data transmission is required, it will be transmitted immediately. Each packet sent must wait for the confirmation message from the receiver and reply to the confirmation message. If there is no response to the confirmation message, it indicates that a conflict has occurred and will be sent again. Using this method can improve the reliability of system information transmission.
