Battery Replacement And Test:
1. Use only the following 9V batteries as replacements in this smoke alarm: carbon-zinc: 6F22; Replace the same or equivalent battery type recommended by the manufacturer. Caution: use only specified batteries. Use different battery may have a detrimental effect on operation or may cause the battery to explore resulting in injury or fire.
2. Put the 9V battery into the battery compartment on the base of the detector and then connect the positive and negative poles.
3. Test the alarm for correct operation using the test facility, whenever the battery is replaced.
4. If the alarm fails to operate correctly, the advice of the manufacturer should be sought.
